Kilberry Church Handing Over Ceremony

On Saturday 8th April 2023, there will be a formal handover service of the former Kilberry Church from the Church of Scotland to the Kilberry 1821 Charitable Trust.

The occasion will include a number of important ceremonies.  It will celebrate the last two hundred years of Kilberry Church; there will be a veterans acknowledgment of the war memorials, a handing over ceremony of the keys, and a dedication and a blessing for the future of the building.  The service will also remember the life of Ian Bell.

To mark this historic moment, a pipe tune composed by Pipe Major John Hunt of Tarbert, will be played for the first time during the service and the framed music score "The Sands of Loch Stornoway - Pipers Rock" will be presented to Kilberry 1821.

This will be followed by Easter Teas; please bring and share your own baking...

The retiring collection will be offered for the running costs of Kilberry 1821.

Please do remember that there are no toilet facilities and parking is extremely restricted, so car sharing is strongly encouraged…
